Yongshun Vine Tea shines at Hunan Tea Expo

On September 9, the four-day 15th Hunan Tea Expo was held at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center.

“Last year, I bought some Yongshun Vine Tea at the tea expo. The taste was so good that it soon ran out. I came here specifically to buy it this time.” Mr. Li, from Changsha, bought thousands of yuan of Yongshun Vine Tea. In front of the Yongshun Vine Tea Exhibition Stand, there were many tea merchants and citizens.

As the “hometown of ancient vine tea in China”, Yongshun County organized 12 tea enterprises to participate in the exhibition, including Yongshun Dafeng Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., Yongshun Banshan Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. and Yongshun Ziya Vine Tea Industry Co., Ltd., comprehensively showcasing the tea quality and brands. At the exhibition, a kind of green vine tea attracted many tea lovers and tea merchants. “This green vine tea is mainly processed by steaming, more refreshing in taste compared to white vine tea. With mature technology, it will be vigorously promoted next year,” said Zhang Peng, sales manager of Yongshun Jiuguanping Zijing Tea Planting Professional Cooperative.

“Only by continuous innovation and R&D can we enhance the brand reputation of the ‘Yongshun Vine Tea’, so as to help people boost income,” said Yao Xiaofang, president of the tea association of Yongshun County. In recent years, Yongshun County has built its vine tea industry into a pillar industry to promote rural revitalization based on its ecological resource advantages. At present, the county has the vine tea planting area of more than 110,000 mu (about 7,333.33 hectares), with an annual output of over 2,000 tons and an annual output value of over 700 million yuan.

At this tea expo, Yongshun Vine Tea was awarded the 2023 Hunan Tea Demonstration Brand, Yongshun Dafeng Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. was rated as the 2023 Hunan Tea Benchmark Enterprise, and 4 varieties of Yongshun Vine Tea from 4 Yongshun’s tea enterprises won the Special Tea Gold Award.
